Cutthorpe Occupations

Information from Census of 1841

This is a count of the occupations of the residents within Cutthorpe as recorded on the 1841 census. Although the figures might not be strictly accurate they show clearly that the villagers in 1841 were mainly employed in agriculture. Also the number of farmers was high, indicating that in those days more smaller farms existed instead of a few large farms as is the case today.

There were roughly 123 households in Cutthorpe in 1841.
